For it is just like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted them with his possessions. . . .
It is like a man going on a journey who left his house, put each servant in charge of his own task, and instructed the doorkeeper to keep watch. . . .
Then He proceeded to tell the people this parable: "A man planted a vineyard, rented it out to some tenants, and went away for a long time.
While He was blessing them, He left them and was carried up into heaven.
But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, 'This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and take his inheritance!'
Then Jesus began to speak to them in parables: "A man planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a wine vat, and built a watchtower. Then he rented it out to some tenants and went away on a journey.
After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
Acts 1:9, 10
After He had said this, they watched as He was taken up, and a cloud hid Him from their sight. . . .
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
"Then You are a king!" Pilate said. "You say that I am a king, " Jesus answered. "For this reason I was born and have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to My voice."

so also Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who eagerly await Him.
Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him--even those who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. So shall it be! Amen.
