Hosea 10:3 Parallel
Commentary
Keil and Delitzsch Biblical Commentary on the Old Testament

Along with the countries all their treasures fall into the possession of the conqueror, and also all the allies of the fallen kingdom shall be compelled to submit to him. The genitive מצרים belongs not merely to חמות (precious things), but to all the before-named objects. בּמצעדיו (at his steps) equals בּרגליו, Judges 4:10, denotes the camp-followers, but not as mercenary soldiers (v. Leng., Hitz.). The Lybians and Cushites represent all the allies of the Egyptians (cf. Ezekiel 30:5; Nahum 3:9), the most southern nations of the earth.
