Lamsa Bible Par ▾
1THESE are the journeys of the children of Israel when they went forth out of the land of Egypt with their armies under the command of Moses and Aaron. 2And Moses wrote down their goings out and their journeys by the commandment of the LORD; and these are their journeys according to their goings out. 3They departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with a mighty hand in the sight of all the Egyptians, 4While the Egyptians were burying all their first-born whom the LORD had slain among them; upon their gods also the LORD executed judgments.

5And the children of Israel departed from Rameses and encamped in Succoth. 6And they departed from Succoth and encamped in Etham, which is on the edge of the wilderness. 7And they departed from Etham and encamped at the entrance of Heritha, the canal, which is before Baal-sephon; and they encamped before Migdol. 8And they departed from the entrance of Heritha and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham and encamped in Morath. 9And they departed from Morath and came to Elim; and in Elim were twelve fountains of water and seventy palm trees; and they encamped there by the water. 10And they departed from Elim and encamped by the Red Sea. 11And they departed from the Red Sea and encamped in the wilderness of Seen. 12And they departed from the wilderness of Seen, and encamped at Raphka. 13And they departed from Raphka and encamped in Alush. 14And they departed from Alush and encamped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink. 15And they departed from Rephidim and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai. 16And they departed from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped at Kabrey di ragrigtha,

17And they departed from Kabrey di ragrigtha, and encamped at Hazeroth. 18And they departed from Hazeroth, and encamped at Rithmah. 19And they departed from Rithmah, and encamped at Rimmon-parez. 20And they departed from Rimmon-parez, and encamped at Libnah. 21And they departed from Libnah, and encamped at Rissah. 22And they departed from Rissah, and encamped at Kehlat. 23And they departed from Kehlat, and encamped at mount Shapher. 24And they departed from mount Shapher, and encamped at Haradah. 25And they departed from Haradah, and encamped at Makheloth. 26And they departed from Makheloth, and encamped at Tahath. 27And they departed from Tahath, and encamped at Tarah. 28And they departed from Tarah, and encamped at Mithcah. 29And they departed from Mithcah, and encamped at Hashmonah. 30And they departed from Hashmonah, and encamped at Moseroth. 31And they departed from Moseroth, and encamped at Bene-jaakan. 32And they departed from Bene-jaakan, and encamped at Had-gadgad. 33And they departed from Had-gadgad, and encamped at Jotbath. 34And they departed from Jotbath, and encamped at Acronah. 35And they departed from Acronah, and encamped at Ezion-gaber. 36And they departed from Ezion-gaber, and encamped in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh. 37And they departed from Kadesh, and encamped at mount Hor on the edge of the land of Edom.

38And Aaron the priest went up on mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, on the first day of the first month. 39And Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on mount Hor.

40And the king of Gadar the Canaanite, who dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

41And they departed from mount Hor, and encamped at Zalmonah. 42And they departed from Zalmonah, and encamped at Punon. 43And they departed from Punon, and encamped in Aboth. 44And they departed from Aboth, and encamped at Een-Ebraye, in the border of Moab. 45And they departed from Een-Ebraye, and encamped at Ribon-gad. 46And they journeyed from Ribon-gad, and encamped at Almon-diblathaim. 47And they journeyed from Almon-diblathaim, and encamped at the mountain of Hebrews, which is before Nebo. 48And they departed from the mountain of the Hebrews, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho. 49And they encamped by the Jordan from Beth-ashimon as far as Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.

50And the LORD said to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho, 51Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, When you cross the Jordan into the land of Canaan; 52Then you shall destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you and destroy all their idols and destroy all their molten images and demolish all their high places; 53And you shall possess the land and dwell therein; for I have given you the land to possess it. 54And you shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families; and to the large families you shall give a large inheritance, and to the small families you shall give a small inheritance; every man's inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falls; according to the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit. 55But if you will not destroy the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it shall come to pass. that those who are left of them shall be splinters in your eyes, and spears in your sides, and shall trouble you in the land wherein you dwell. 56And as I thought to do to them, I shall do to you.
