Revelation 5
Literal Emphasis Translation Par ▾
1And I saw upon the right of the One sitting upon the throne a book having been written inside and on the back, having been sealed with seven seals. 2And I saw a strong angel proclaiming (preaching) in a great (large) voice, Who is worthy to open the book and break (release, unbind) the seals of it? 3And no one was able in heaven, nor upon the earth, nor under the earth to open the book, nor look at it. 4And I was weeping much, because no one worthy was found to open the book nor look at it.

5And one from out of the elders says to me, Do not weep. Behold, the Lion from out of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome to open the book and the seven seals of it.

6And I saw in the midst (middle) of the throne and the four living creatures and in the midst (middle) of the elders, a Lamb standing like as having been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God having been sent away into all the earth. 7And He came and took it from out of the right hand of the One sitting upon the throne. 8And when He had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty four elders fell down in the sight of the Lamb, each having a harp and golden bowls being full of fragrant incenses, which are the prayers of the saints. 9And they are singing a new song, saying, Worthy are You to take the book and to open the seals of it; because You were slain, and You purchased to God by (in) Your blood, those from out of every tribe and tongue and people and ethnicity, 10And You made them a kingdom and priests to our God and they shall reign upon the earth.

11And I looked and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and of the elders; and the number of them was myriads (ten thousands) of myriads and thousands of thousands; 12Saying with a great (large) voice, Worthy is the Lamb having been slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and value (honor) and glory and blessing! 13And every creature which is in heaven and upon the earth and under (hypokato-underneath- under below/down/lower) the earth and upon the sea and all in them, I heard saying, to the One sitting upon the throne and to the Lamb, Blessing and honor (value) and glory and dominion unto the ages of the ages. 14And the four living creatures kept saying, Amen; and the elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives unto the ages of the ages.
