Commentary
Clarke's Commentary on the Bible

When thou cuttest down thine harvest - This is an addition to the law, Leviticus 19:9; Leviticus 23:22. This the Hebrews extended to any part of the fruit or produce of a field, which had been forgotten in the time of general ingathering, as appears from the concluding verses of this chapter.

And they went their way. Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.

All the three Synoptic Gospels mark this, although with varying details. [4875] From the mention of Galilee by St. Matthew, and by St. Luke of Samaria and Galilee - or more correctly, between (along the frontiers of) Samaria and Galilee,' we may conjecture that, on leaving Ephraim, Christ made a very brief detour along the northern
