You must cut off the flesh of your foreskin as a sign of the covenant between me and you.
When I have turned their hostility back on them and brought them to the land of their enemies, then at last their stubborn hearts will be humbled, and they will pay for their sins.
You must recognize that the LORD your God is not giving you this good land because you are good, for you are not--you are a stubborn people.
