New Living Translation
Therefore, I will respond in fury. I will neither pity nor spare them. And though they cry for mercy, I will not listen."
King James Bible
Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.
Darby Bible Translation
And I also will deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity; and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them.

Therefore will I also deal in wrath; my eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity; and though they cry in my ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.
Young's Literal Translation
And I also deal in fury, Mine eye doth not pity, nor do I spare, and they have cried in Mine ears -- a loud voice -- and I do not hear them.'
Ezekiel 8:18 Parallel
CommentaryWesley's Notes on the Bible
8:18 Will not hear - The time was, when God was ready to have heard, even before they cried: but now they cry aloud, and yet cry in vain. It is the upright heart which God regards, and not the loud voice.

The Seventh Commandment
"When they cry for help, I will not answer. Though they anxiously search for me, they will not find me.
When you lift up your hands in prayer, I will not look. Though you offer many prayers, I will not listen, for your hands are covered with the blood of innocent victims.
Listen! The LORD's arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call.
Therefore, this is what the LORD says: I am going to bring calamity upon them, and they will not escape. Though they beg for mercy, I will not listen to their cries.
When they fast, I will pay no attention. When they present their burnt offerings and grain offerings to me, I will not accept them. Instead, I will devour them with war, famine, and disease."
I will forget you completely. I will expel you from my presence, along with this city that I gave to you and your ancestors.
They provoked my anger with all their wickedness. They burned incense and worshiped other gods--gods that neither they nor you nor any of your ancestors had ever even known.
