Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.
Give it to the Levites, who will receive no allotment of land among you, as well as to the foreigners living among you, the orphans, and the widows in your towns, so they can eat and be satisfied. Then the LORD your God will bless you in all your work.
Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.
"Give justice to the poor and the orphan; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.
Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.
This is what the LORD says: "Be just and fair to all. Do what is right and good, for I am coming soon to rescue you and to display my righteousness among you.
