Psalm 120
BSB Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Berean Study BibleInternational Standard Version
1A song of ascents. In my distress I cried to the LORD, and He answered me.1I cried to the LORD in my distress, and he responded to me.
2Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips and a deceitful tongue.2"LORD, deliver me from lips that lie and tongues that deceive."
3What will He do to you, and what will be added to you, O deceitful tongue?3What will be given to you, and what will be done to you, you treacherous tongue?
4Sharp arrows will come from the warrior, with burning coals of the broom tree!4Like a sharp arrow from a warrior, along with fiery coals from juniper trees!
5Woe to me that I dwell in Meshech, that I live among the tents of Kedar!5How terrible for me, that I am an alien in Meshech, that I reside among the tents of Kedar!
6Too long have I dwelt among those who hate peace.6I have resided too long with those who hate peace.
7I am in favor of peace; but when I speak, they want war.7I am in favor of peace; but when I speak, they are in favor of war.
