Psalm 120
BSB Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Berean Study BibleNew Living Translation
1A song of ascents. In my distress I cried to the LORD, and He answered me.1I took my troubles to the LORD; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer.
2Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips and a deceitful tongue.2Rescue me, O LORD, from liars and from all deceitful people.
3What will He do to you, and what will be added to you, O deceitful tongue?3O deceptive tongue, what will God do to you? How will he increase your punishment?
4Sharp arrows will come from the warrior, with burning coals of the broom tree!4You will be pierced with sharp arrows and burned with glowing coals.
5Woe to me that I dwell in Meshech, that I live among the tents of Kedar!5How I suffer in far-off Meshech. It pains me to live in distant Kedar.
6Too long have I dwelt among those who hate peace.6I am tired of living among people who hate peace.
7I am in favor of peace; but when I speak, they want war.7I search for peace; but when I speak of peace, they want war!
