Psalm 123
BSB Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Berean Study BibleInternational Standard Version
1A song of ascents. I lift up my eyes to You, the One enthroned in heaven.1To you, who sit enthroned in heaven, I lift up my eyes.
2As the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maidservant look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes are on the LORD our God until He shows us mercy.2Consider this: as the eyes of a servant focus on what his master provides, and as the eyes of a female servant focus on what her mistress provides, so our eyes focus on the LORD our God, until he has mercy on us.
3Have mercy on us, O LORD, have mercy, for we have endured much contempt.3Have mercy on us, LORD, have mercy, for we have had more than enough of contempt.
4We have endured much scorn from the arrogant, much contempt from the proud.4Our lives overflow with scorn from those who live at ease, with contempt from those who are proud.
