Psalm 123
BSB Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Berean Study BibleNew Living Translation
1A song of ascents. I lift up my eyes to You, the One enthroned in heaven.1I lift my eyes to you, O God, enthroned in heaven.
2As the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maidservant look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes are on the LORD our God until He shows us mercy.2We keep looking to the LORD our God for his mercy, just as servants keep their eyes on their master, as a slave girl watches her mistress for the slightest signal.
3Have mercy on us, O LORD, have mercy, for we have endured much contempt.3Have mercy on us, LORD, have mercy, for we have had our fill of contempt.
4We have endured much scorn from the arrogant, much contempt from the proud.4We have had more than our fill of the scoffing of the proud and the contempt of the arrogant.
