Hallelujah! Sing to the LORD a new song—His praise in the assembly of the godly.1Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, And His praise in the congregation of the godly ones.
Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King.2Let Israel be glad in his Maker; Let the sons of Zion rejoice in their King.
Let them praise His name with dancing, and make music to Him with tambourine and harp.3Let them praise His name with dancing; Let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and lyre.
For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He adorns the afflicted with salvation.4For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation.
Let the saints exult in glory; let them shout for joy upon their beds.5Let the godly ones exult in glory; Let them sing for joy on their beds.
May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a double-edged sword in their hands,6Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand,
to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples,7To execute vengeance on the nations And punishment on the peoples,
to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with shackles of iron,8To bind their kings with chains And their nobles with fetters of iron,
to execute the judgment written against them. This honor is for all His saints. Hallelujah!9To execute on them the judgment written; This is an honor for all His godly ones. Praise the LORD!
