Berean Study BibleNew Living Translation
Hallelujah! Sing to the LORD a new song—His praise in the assembly of the godly.1Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song. Sing his praises in the assembly of the faithful.
Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King.2O Israel, rejoice in your Maker. O people of Jerusalem, exult in your King.
Let them praise His name with dancing, and make music to Him with tambourine and harp.3Praise his name with dancing, accompanied by tambourine and harp.
For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He adorns the afflicted with salvation.4For the LORD delights in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.
Let the saints exult in glory; let them shout for joy upon their beds.5Let the faithful rejoice that he honors them. Let them sing for joy as they lie on their beds.
May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a double-edged sword in their hands,6Let the praises of God be in their mouths, and a sharp sword in their hands—
to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples,7to execute vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples,
to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with shackles of iron,8to bind their kings with shackles and their leaders with iron chains,
to execute the judgment written against them. This honor is for all His saints. Hallelujah!9to execute the judgment written against them. This is the glorious privilege of his faithful ones. Praise the LORD!
