Berean Study BibleNew Living Translation
For the choirmaster. With stringed instruments. Of David. Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer.1O God, listen to my cry! Hear my prayer!
From the ends of the earth I call out to You whenever my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.2From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering rock of safety,
For You have been my refuge, a tower of strength against the enemy.3for you are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me.
Let me dwell in Your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah4Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings! Interlude
For You have heard my vows, O God; You have given me the inheritance reserved for those who fear Your name.5For you have heard my vows, O God. You have given me an inheritance reserved for those who fear your name.
Increase the days of the king’s life; may his years span many generations.6Add many years to the life of the king! May his years span the generations!
May he sit enthroned in God’s presence forever; appoint Your loving devotion and Your faithfulness to guard him.7May he reign under God’s protection forever. May your unfailing love and faithfulness watch over him.
Then I will ever sing praise to Your name and fulfill my vows day by day.8Then I will sing praises to your name forever as I fulfill my vows each day.
