CSB Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Christian Standard BibleNew American Standard Bible 1995
1In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me.1A Song of Ascents. In my trouble I cried to the LORD, And He answered me.
2"LORD, rescue me from lying lips and a deceitful tongue."2Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, From a deceitful tongue.
3What will he give you, and what will he do to you, you deceitful tongue?3What shall be given to you, and what more shall be done to you, You deceitful tongue?
4A warrior's sharp arrows with burning charcoal!4Sharp arrows of the warrior, With the burning coals of the broom tree.
5What misery that I have stayed in Meshech, that I have lived among the tents of Kedar!5Woe is me, for I sojourn in Meshech, For I dwell among the tents of Kedar!
6I have dwelt too long with those who hate peace.6Too long has my soul had its dwelling With those who hate peace.
7I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.7I am for peace, but when I speak, They are for war.
