Psalm 120
CSB Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Christian Standard BibleNew International Version
1In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me.1A song of ascents. I call on the LORD in my distress, and he answers me.
2"LORD, rescue me from lying lips and a deceitful tongue."2Save me, LORD, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.
3What will he give you, and what will he do to you, you deceitful tongue?3What will he do to you, and what more besides, you deceitful tongue?
4A warrior's sharp arrows with burning charcoal!4He will punish you with a warrior's sharp arrows, with burning coals of the broom bush.
5What misery that I have stayed in Meshech, that I have lived among the tents of Kedar!5Woe to me that I dwell in Meshek, that I live among the tents of Kedar!
6I have dwelt too long with those who hate peace.6Too long have I lived among those who hate peace.
7I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.7I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
