Psalm 123
ESV Parallel BSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
English Standard VersionBerean Study Bible
1To you I lift up my eyes, O you who are enthroned in the heavens!1A song of ascents. I lift up my eyes to You, the One enthroned in heaven.
2Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maidservant to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, till he has mercy upon us.2As the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maidservant look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes are on the LORD our God until He shows us mercy.
3Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us, for we have had more than enough of contempt.3Have mercy on us, O LORD, have mercy, for we have endured much contempt.
4Our soul has had more than enough of the scorn of those who are at ease, of the contempt of the proud.4We have endured much scorn from the arrogant, much contempt from the proud.
