Psalm 123
ESV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
English Standard VersionNET Bible
1To you I lift up my eyes, O you who are enthroned in the heavens!1A song of ascents. I look up toward you, the one enthroned in heaven.
2Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maidservant to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, till he has mercy upon us.2Look, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a female servant look to the hand of her mistress, so my eyes will look to the LORD, our God, until he shows us favor.
3Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us, for we have had more than enough of contempt.3Show us favor, O LORD, show us favor! For we have had our fill of humiliation, and then some.
4Our soul has had more than enough of the scorn of those who are at ease, of the contempt of the proud.4We have had our fill of the taunts of the self-assured, of the contempt of the proud.
