English Standard VersionChristian Standard Bible
Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer;1God, hear my cry; pay attention to my prayer.
from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I,2I call to you from the ends of the earth when my heart is without strength. Lead me to a rock that is high above me,
for you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.3for you have been a refuge for me, a strong tower in the face of the enemy.
Let me dwell in your tent forever! Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings! Selah4I will dwell in your tent forever and take refuge under the shelter of your wings. Selah
For you, O God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.5God, you have heard my vows; you have given a heritage to those who fear your name.
Prolong the life of the king; may his years endure to all generations!6Add days to the king's life; may his years span many generations.
May he be enthroned forever before God; appoint steadfast love and faithfulness to watch over him!7May he sit enthroned before God forever. Appoint faithful love and truth to guard him.
So will I ever sing praises to your name, as I perform my vows day after day.8Then I will continually sing of your name, fulfilling my vows day by day.
