Psalm 87
ESV Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
English Standard VersionNew International Version
1On the holy mount stands the city he founded;1Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm. A song. He has founded his city on the holy mountain.
2the LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob.2The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the other dwellings of Jacob.
3Glorious things of you are spoken, O city of God. Selah3Glorious things are said of you, city of God:
4Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon; behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Cush— “This one was born there,” they say.4"I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me-- Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush -- and will say, 'This one was born in Zion.'"
5And of Zion it shall be said, “This one and that one were born in her”; for the Most High himself will establish her.5Indeed, of Zion it will be said, "This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High himself will establish her."
6The LORD records as he registers the peoples, “This one was born there.” Selah6The LORD will write in the register of the peoples: "This one was born in Zion."
7Singers and dancers alike say, “All my springs are in you.”7As they make music they will sing, "All my fountains are in you."
