Holman Christian Standard BibleNET Bible
A psalm of the sons of Korah. A song. His foundation is on the holy mountains. 1Written by the Korahites; a psalm, a song. The LORD's city is in the holy hills.
The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. 2The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob.
Glorious things are said about you, city of God. Selah " 3People say wonderful things about you, O city of God. (Selah)
I will mention those who know Me: Rahab, Babylon, Philistia, Tyre, and Cush-- each one was born there." 4I mention Rahab and Babylon to my followers. Here are Philistia and Tyre, along with Ethiopia. It is said of them, "This one was born there."
And it will be said of Zion," This one and that one were born in her." The Most High Himself will establish her. 5But it is said of Zion's residents, "Each one of these was born in her, and the sovereign One makes her secure."
When He registers the peoples, the LORD will record," This one was born there." Selah 6The LORD writes in the census book of the nations, "This one was born there." (Selah)
Singers and dancers alike will say," My whole source of joy is in you." 7As for the singers, as well as the pipers--all of them sing within your walls.
