1A Davidic psalm. I will sing of faithful love and justice; I will sing praise to You, LORD.

1I will sing of your love and justice, LORD. I will praise you with songs.

2I will pay attention to the way of integrity. When will You come to me? I will live with a heart of integrity in my house.

2I will be careful to live a blameless life— when will you come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home.

3I will not set anything worthless before my eyes. I hate the practice of transgression; it will not cling to me.

3I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them.

4A devious heart will be far from me; I will not be involved with evil.

4I will reject perverse ideas and stay away from every evil.

5I will destroy anyone who secretly slanders his neighbor; I cannot tolerate anyone with haughty eyes or an arrogant heart.

5I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors. I will not endure conceit and pride.

6My eyes favor the faithful of the land so that they may sit down with me. The one who follows the way of integrity may serve me.

6I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me.

7No one who acts deceitfully will live in my palace; no one who tells lies will remain in my presence.

7I will not allow deceivers to serve in my house, and liars will not stay in my presence.

8Every morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land, eliminating all evildoers from the LORD's city.

8My daily task will be to ferret out the wicked and free the city of the LORD from their grip.
