Holman Christian Standard BibleNew American Standard Bible 1995
A Davidic psalm. I will sing of faithful love and justice; I will sing praise to You, LORD. 1A Psalm of David. I will sing of lovingkindness and justice, To You, O LORD, I will sing praises.
I will pay attention to the way of integrity. When will You come to me? I will live with a heart of integrity in my house. 2I will give heed to the blameless way. When will You come to me? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart.
I will not set anything worthless before my eyes. I hate the practice of transgression; it will not cling to me. 3I will set no worthless thing before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not fasten its grip on me.
A devious heart will be far from me; I will not be involved with evil. 4A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil.
I will destroy anyone who secretly slanders his neighbor; I cannot tolerate anyone with haughty eyes or an arrogant heart. 5Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, him I will destroy; No one who has a haughty look and an arrogant heart will I endure.
My eyes favor the faithful of the land so that they may sit down with me. The one who follows the way of integrity may serve me. 6My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; He who walks in a blameless way is the one who will minister to me.
No one who acts deceitfully will live in my palace; no one who tells lies will remain in my presence. 7He who practices deceit shall not dwell within my house; He who speaks falsehood shall not maintain his position before me.
Every morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land, eliminating all evildoers from the LORD's city. 8Every morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land, So as to cut off from the city of the LORD all those who do iniquity.
