Galatians 6

International Standard VersionChristian Standard Bible
Brothers, if a person is caught doing something wrong, those of you who are spiritual should restore that person gently. Watch out for yourself so that you are not tempted as well. 1Brothers and sisters, if someone is overtaken in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual, restore such a person with a gentle spirit, watching out for yourselves so that you also won't be tempted.
Practice carrying each other's burdens. In this way you will fulfill the law of the Messiah.2Carry one another's burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
For if anyone thinks he is something when he is really nothing, he is only fooling himself. 3For if anyone considers himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
Each person must examine his own actions, and then he can boast about his own accomplishments and not about someone else. 4Let each person examine his own work, and then he can take pride in himself alone, and not compare himself with someone else.
For everyone must carry his own load.5For each person will have to carry his own load.
The person who is taught the word should share all his goods with his teacher. 6Let the one who is taught the word share all his good things with the teacher.
Stop being deceived; God is not to be ridiculed. A person harvests whatever he plants: 7Don't be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a person sows he will also reap,
The person who sows through human means will harvest decay from human means, but the person who sows in the Spirit will harvest eternal life from the Spirit. 8because the one who sows to his flesh will reap destruction from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.
Let's not get tired of doing what is good, for at the right time we will reap a harvest—if we do not give up. 9Let us not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don't give up.
So then, whenever we have the opportunity, let's practice doing good to everyone, especially to the family of faith.10Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.
Look at how large these letters are because I am writing with my own hand! 11Look at what large letters I use as I write to you in my own handwriting.
These people who want to impress others by their external appearance are trying to force you to be circumcised, simply to avoid being persecuted for the cross of the Messiah.12Those who want to make a good impression in the flesh are the ones who would compel you to be circumcised--but only to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ.
Why, not even those who are circumcised obey the Law! They simply want you to be circumcised so that they can boast about your external appearance.13For even the circumcised don't keep the law themselves, and yet they want you to be circumcised in order to boast about your flesh.
But may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world! 14But as for me, I will never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. The world has been crucified to me through the cross, and I to the world.
For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision matters. Rather, what matters is being a new creation. 15For both circumcision and uncircumcision mean nothing; what matters instead is a new creation.
Now may peace be on all those who live by this principle, and may mercy be on the Israel of God. 16May peace come to all those who follow this standard, and mercy even to the Israel of God!
Let no one make any more trouble for me, because I carry the scars of Jesus on my own body.17From now on, let no one cause me trouble, because I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, be with your spirit, brothers! Amen.18Brothers and sisters, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
