Psalm 16
ISV Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionKing James Bible
1Keep me safe, God, for I take refuge in you.1Michtam of David. Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
2I told the LORD, "You are my master, I have nothing good apart from you."2O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
3As for the saints that are in the land, they are noble, and all my delight is in them.3But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
4Those who hurry after another god will have many sorrows; I will not present their drink offerings of blood, nor will my lips speak their names.4Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
5The LORD is my inheritance and my cup; you support my lot.5The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
6The boundary lines have fallen in pleasant places for me; truly, I have a beautiful heritage.6The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
7I will bless the LORD who has counseled me; indeed, my conscience instructs me during the night.7I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8I have set the LORD before me continuously; because he stands at my right hand, I will stand firm. 8I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9Therefore, my heart is glad, my whole being rejoices, and my body will dwell securely.9Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10For you will not leave my soul in Sheol, you will not allow your holy one to experience corruption. 10For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11You cause me to know the path of life; in your presence is joyful abundance, at your right hand there are pleasures forever.11Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
