| 4A light shines in the darkness for the upright, for the one who is gracious, compassionate, and just. | 4In the darkness a light shines for the godly, for each one who is merciful, compassionate, and just. |
| 5It is good for the person who lends generously, conducting his affairs with fairness. | 5It goes well for the one who generously lends money, and conducts his business honestly. |
