Psalm 112
ISV Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionNew International Version
1Hallelujah! How happy is the person who fears the LORD, who truly delights in his commandments.1Praise the LORD. Blessed are those who fear the LORD, who find great delight in his commands.
2His descendants will be powerful in the land, a generation of the upright who will be blessed.2Their children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.
3Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.3Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever.
4A light shines in the darkness for the upright, for the one who is gracious, compassionate, and just.4Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.
5It is good for the person who lends generously, conducting his affairs with fairness.5Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.
6He will never be shaken; the one who is just will always be remembered.6Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever.
7He need not fear a bad report, for his heart is unshaken, since he trusts in the LORD.7They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
8His heart is steadfast, he will not fear. In the end he will look in triumph over his enemy.8Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.
9He gives generously to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn is exalted in honor.9They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor, their righteousness endures forever; their horn will be lifted high in honor.
10The wicked person sees this and flies into a rage; his teeth gnash and wear away. The desire of the wicked will amount to nothing.10The wicked will see and be vexed, they will gnash their teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.
