Psalm 36
ISV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionNET Bible
An oracle that came to me about the transgressions of the wicked: There is no fear of God before his eyes.1For the music director; written by the LORD's servant, David; an oracle. An evil man is rebellious to the core. He does not fear God,
He flatters himself too much to discover his transgression and hate it.2for he is too proud to recognize and give up his sin.
The words from his mouth are vain and deceptive. He has abandoned behaving wisely and doing good.3The words he speaks are sinful and deceitful; he does not care about doing what is wise and right.
He devises iniquity on his bed and is determined to follow a path that is not good. He does not resist evil.4He plans ways to sin while he lies in bed; he is committed to a sinful lifestyle; he does not reject what is evil.
Your gracious love, LORD, reaches to the heavens; your truth extends to the skies. 5O LORD, your loyal love reaches to the sky; your faithfulness to the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your justice is like the great depths of the sea. You deliver both people and animals, LORD.6Your justice is like the highest mountains, your fairness like the deepest sea; you preserve mankind and the animal kingdom.
How precious is your gracious love, God! The children of men take refuge in the shadow of your wings.7How precious is your loyal love, O God! The human race finds shelter under your wings.
They are refreshed from the abundance of your house; You cause them to drink from the river of your pleasures.8They are filled with food from your house, and you allow them to drink from the river of your delicacies.
For with you is a fountain of life, and in your light we will see light.9For you are the one who gives and sustains life.
Send forth your gracious love to those who know you, and your righteousness to those who are upright in heart.10Extend your loyal love to your faithful followers, and vindicate the morally upright!
Do not let the foot of the proud crush me; and do not let the hand of the wicked dissuade me.11Do not let arrogant men overtake me, or let evil men make me homeless!
There, those who do evil have fallen; They have been thrown down, and they cannot get up.12I can see the evildoers! They have fallen! They have been knocked down and are unable to get up!
