Psalm 101
KJV Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleEnglish Standard Version
1A Psalm of David. I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.1I will sing of steadfast love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will make music.
2I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.2I will ponder the way that is blameless. Oh when will you come to me? I will walk with integrity of heart within my house;
3I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.3I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me.
4A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.4A perverse heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil.
5Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.5Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart I will not endure.
6Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.6I will look with favor on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in the way that is blameless shall minister to me.
7He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.7No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes.
8I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.8Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land, cutting off all the evildoers from the city of the LORD.
