Psalm 61
KJV Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleEnglish Standard Version
1To the chief Musician upon Neginah, A Psalm of David. Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.1Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer;
2From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.2from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I,
3For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.3for you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.
4I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.4Let me dwell in your tent forever! Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings! Selah
5For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.5For you, O God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
6Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.6Prolong the life of the king; may his years endure to all generations!
7He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.7May he be enthroned forever before God; appoint steadfast love and faithfulness to watch over him!
8So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.8So will I ever sing praises to your name, as I perform my vows day after day.
