King James BibleEnglish Standard Version
I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:1I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a servant of the church at Cenchreae,
That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.2that you may welcome her in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints, and help her in whatever she may need from you, for she has been a patron of many and of myself as well.
Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:3Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus,
Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.4who risked their necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks but all the churches of the Gentiles give thanks as well.
Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.5Greet also the church in their house. Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who was the first convert to Christ in Asia.
Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.6Greet Mary, who has worked hard for you.
Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.7Greet Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen and my fellow prisoners. They are well known to the apostles, and they were in Christ before me.
Greet Amplias my beloved in the Lord.8Greet Ampliatus, my beloved in the Lord.
Salute Urbane, our helper in Christ, and Stachys my beloved.9Greet Urbanus, our fellow worker in Christ, and my beloved Stachys.

Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine.13Greet Rufus, chosen in the Lord; also his mother, who has been a mother to me as well.
Salute Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brethren which are with them.14Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas, and the brothers who are with them.
Salute Philologus, and Julia, Nereus, and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints which are with them.15Greet Philologus, Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints who are with them.
Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.16Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you.
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.17I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.
For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.18For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.
For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.19For your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil.
And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.20The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
Timotheus my workfellow, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen, salute you.21Timothy, my fellow worker, greets you; so do Lucius and Jason and Sosipater, my kinsmen.
I Tertius, who wrote this epistle, salute you in the Lord.22I Tertius, who wrote this letter, greet you in the Lord.
Gaius mine host, and of the whole church, saluteth you. Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother.23Gaius, who is host to me and to the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the city treasurer, and our brother Quartus, greet you.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.24
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,25Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret for long ages
But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:26but has now been disclosed and through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith—
To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen. 27to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen.
