| 1To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob. | 1For the choir director. A psalm of the sons of Korah. LORD, You showed favor to Your land; You restored Jacob's prosperity. |
| 2Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah. | 2You took away Your people's guilt; You covered all their sin. Selah |
| 3Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger. | 3You withdrew all Your fury; You turned from Your burning anger. |
| 4Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease. | 4Return to us, God of our salvation, and abandon Your displeasure with us. |
| 5Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations? | 5Will You be angry with us forever? Will You prolong Your anger for all generations? |
| 6Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? | 6Will You not revive us again so that Your people may rejoice in You? |
| 7Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation. | 7Show us Your faithful love, LORD, and give us Your salvation. |
| 8I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. | 8I will listen to what God will say; surely the LORD will declare peace to His people, His godly ones, and not let them go back to foolish ways. |
| 9Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land. | 9His salvation is very near those who fear Him, so that glory may dwell in our land. |
| 10Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. | 10Faithful love and truth will join together; righteousness and peace will embrace. |
| 11Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven. | 11Truth will spring up from the earth, and righteousness will look down from heaven. |
| 12Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. | 12Also, the LORD will provide what is good, and our land will yield its crops. |
| 13Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps. | 13Righteousness will go before Him to prepare the way for His steps. |
