I lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.1I looked up and saw a man with a measuring line in his hand.
Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.2I asked, "Where are you going?" He answered me, "To measure Jerusalem to determine its width and length."
And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,3Then the angel who was speaking with me went out, and another angel went out to meet him.
And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:4He said to him, "Run and tell this young man: Jerusalem will be inhabited without walls because of the number of people and livestock in it."
For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.5The declaration of the LORD: "I will be a wall of fire around it, and I will be the glory within it.""
Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.6Get up! Leave the land of the north"--this is the LORD's declaration--"for I have scattered you like the four winds of heaven"--this is the LORD's declaration. "
Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.7Go, Zion! Escape, you who are living with Daughter Babylon."
For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.8For the LORD of Hosts says this: "He has sent Me for His glory against the nations who are plundering you, for anyone who touches you touches the pupil of His eye.
For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.9I will move against them with My power, and they will become plunder for their own servants. Then you will know that the LORD of Hosts has sent Me."
Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.10Daughter Zion, shout for joy and be glad, for I am coming to dwell among you"--this is the LORD's declaration. "
And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.11Many nations will join themselves to the LORD on that day and become My people. I will dwell among you, and you will know that the LORD of Hosts has sent Me to you.
And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.12The LORD will take possession of Judah as His portion in the Holy Land, and He will once again choose Jerusalem.
Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.13Let all people be silent before the LORD, for He is coming from His holy dwelling."
