Psalm 126
KJV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleNET Bible
1A Song of degrees. When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.1A song of ascents. When the LORD restored the well-being of Zion, we thought we were dreaming.
2Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.2At that time we laughed loudly and shouted for joy. At that time the nations said, "The LORD has accomplished great things for these people."
3The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.3The LORD did indeed accomplish great things for us. We were happy.
4Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.4O LORD, restore our well-being, just as the streams in the arid south are replenished.
5They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.5Those who shed tears as they plant will shout for joy when they reap the harvest.
6He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.6The one who weeps as he walks along, carrying his bag of seed, will certainly come in with a shout of joy, carrying his sheaves of grain.
