KJV Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleNew International Version
O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.1Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.2Let Israel say: "His love endures forever."
Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.3Let the house of Aaron say: "His love endures forever."
Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever.4Let those who fear the LORD say: "His love endures forever."
I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.5When hard pressed, I cried to the LORD; he brought me into a spacious place.
The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?6The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.7The LORD is with me; he is my helper. I look in triumph on my enemies.
It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.8It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humans.
It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.9It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.
All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.10All the nations surrounded me, but in the name of the LORD I cut them down.
They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.11They surrounded me on every side, but in the name of the LORD I cut them down.
They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.12They swarmed around me like bees, but they were consumed as quickly as burning thorns; in the name of the LORD I cut them down.
Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.13I was pushed back and about to fall, but the LORD helped me.
The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.14The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.
The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.15Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: "The LORD's right hand has done mighty things!
The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.16The LORD's right hand is lifted high; the LORD's right hand has done mighty things!"
I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.17I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the LORD has done.
The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.18The LORD has chastened me severely, but he has not given me over to death.
Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD:19Open for me the gates of the righteous; I will enter and give thanks to the LORD.
This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.20This is the gate of the LORD through which the righteous may enter.
I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.21I will give you thanks, for you answered me; you have become my salvation.
The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.22The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;
This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.23the LORD has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.
This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.24The LORD has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.
Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.25LORD, save us! LORD, grant us success!
Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.26Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD. From the house of the LORD we bless you.
God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.27The LORD is God, and he has made his light shine on us. With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession up to the horns of the altar.
Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.28You are my God, and I will praise you; you are my God, and I will exalt you.
O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.29Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
