Psalm 95
KJV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleNew Living Translation
1O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.1Come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.
2Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.2Let us come to him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to him.
3For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.3For the LORD is a great God, a great King above all gods.
4In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.4He holds in his hands the depths of the earth and the mightiest mountains.
5The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.5The sea belongs to him, for he made it. His hands formed the dry land, too.
6O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.6Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker,
7For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,7for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today!
8Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:8The LORD says, “Don’t harden your hearts as Israel did at Meribah, as they did at Massah in the wilderness.
9When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.9For there your ancestors tested and tried my patience, even though they saw everything I did.
10Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:10For forty years I was angry with them, and I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts turn away from me. They refuse to do what I tell them.’
11Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.11So in my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest.’”
