Psalm 1
NASB Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995King James Bible
1How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!1Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.4The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.5Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish.6For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
