Psalm 1
NASB Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995NET Bible
1How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!1How blessed is the one who does not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand in the pathway with sinners, or sit in the assembly of scoffers!
2But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.2Instead he finds pleasure in obeying the LORD's commands; he meditates on his commands day and night.
3He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.3He is like a tree planted by flowing streams; it yields its fruit at the proper time, and its leaves never fall off. He succeeds in everything he attempts.
4The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.4Not so with the wicked! Instead they are like wind-driven chaff.
5Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.5For this reason the wicked cannot withstand judgment, nor can sinners join the assembly of the godly.
6For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish.6Certainly the LORD guards the way of the godly, but the way of the wicked ends in destruction.
