NASB Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995King James Bible
A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water.1A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
Thus I have seen You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory.2To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips will praise You.3Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.4Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth offers praises with joyful lips.5My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches,6When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
For You have been my help, And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.7Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me.8My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
But those who seek my life to destroy it, Will go into the depths of the earth.9But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
They will be delivered over to the power of the sword; They will be a prey for foxes.10They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.
But the king will rejoice in God; Everyone who swears by Him will glory, For the mouths of those who speak lies will be stopped.11But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
