| 1A Psalm. O sing to the LORD a new song, For He has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for Him. | 1A psalm. Sing to the LORD a new song, for he performs amazing deeds! His right hand and his mighty arm accomplish deliverance. |
| 2The LORD has made known His salvation; He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations. | 2The LORD demonstrates his power to deliver; in the sight of the nations he reveals his justice. |
| 3He has remembered His lovingkindness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. | 3He remains loyal and faithful to the family of Israel. All the ends of the earth see our God deliver us. |
| 4Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth; Break forth and sing for joy and sing praises. | 4Shout out praises to the LORD, all the earth! Break out in a joyful shout and sing! |
| 5Sing praises to the LORD with the lyre, With the lyre and the sound of melody. | 5Sing to the LORD accompanied by a harp, accompanied by a harp and the sound of music! |
