Psalm 120
NASB Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New International Version
1A Song of Ascents. In my trouble I cried to the LORD, And He answered me.1A song of ascents. I call on the LORD in my distress, and he answers me.
2Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, From a deceitful tongue.2Save me, LORD, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.
3What shall be given to you, and what more shall be done to you, You deceitful tongue?3What will he do to you, and what more besides, you deceitful tongue?
4Sharp arrows of the warrior, With the burning coals of the broom tree.4He will punish you with a warrior's sharp arrows, with burning coals of the broom bush.
5Woe is me, for I sojourn in Meshech, For I dwell among the tents of Kedar!5Woe to me that I dwell in Meshek, that I live among the tents of Kedar!
6Too long has my soul had its dwelling With those who hate peace.6Too long have I lived among those who hate peace.
7I am for peace, but when I speak, They are for war.7I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
