Psalm 126
NASB Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New International Version
1A Song of Ascents. When the LORD brought back the captive ones of Zion, We were like those who dream.1A song of ascents. When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed.
2Then our mouth was filled with laughter And our tongue with joyful shouting; Then they said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."2Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."
3The LORD has done great things for us; We are glad.3The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
4Restore our captivity, O LORD, As the streams in the South.4Restore our fortunes, LORD, like streams in the Negev.
5Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting.5Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.
6He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, Shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.6Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.
