NET BibleHolman Christian Standard Bible
A song of ascents. From the deep water I cry out to you, O LORD. 1A song of ascents. Out of the depths I call to You, Yahweh!
O Lord, listen to me! Pay attention to my plea for mercy! 2Lord, listen to my voice; let Your ears be attentive to my cry for help.
If you, O LORD, were to keep track of sins, O Lord, who could stand before you? 3Yahweh, if You considered sins, Lord, who could stand?
But you are willing to forgive, so that you might be honored. 4But with You there is forgiveness, so that You may be revered.
I rely on the LORD, I rely on him with my whole being; I wait for his assuring word. 5I wait for Yahweh; I wait and put my hope in His word.
I yearn for the Lord, more than watchmen do for the morning, yes, more than watchmen do for the morning. 6I wait for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning-- more than watchmen for the morning.
O Israel, hope in the LORD, for the LORD exhibits loyal love, and is more than willing to deliver. 7Israel, put your hope in the LORD. For there is faithful love with the LORD, and with Him is redemption in abundance.
He will deliver Israel from all the consequences of their sins. 8And He will redeem Israel from all its sins.
