Then Bildad the Shuhite answered: 1Bildad from Shuah responded and said:
"Dominion and awesome might belong to God; he establishes peace in his heights. 2"Dominion and fear belong to God; who fashions peace in his high heaven.
Can his armies be numbered? On whom does his light not rise? 3Is there any limit to his armies? On whom does his light not shine?
How then can a human being be righteous before God? How can one born of a woman be pure? 4How can a human being become right with God? How can a human being be pure?
If even the moon is not bright, and the stars are not pure as far as he is concerned, 5Behold, even the moon isn't bright, and the stars aren't pure in his eyes.
how much less a mortal man, who is but a maggot--a son of man, who is only a worm!" 6How much less is man, who is only a maggot, or a man's children, who are only worms!"
