Then Bildad the Shuhite answered: 1Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,
"Dominion and awesome might belong to God; he establishes peace in his heights. 2"Dominion and awe belong to Him Who establishes peace in His heights.
Can his armies be numbered? On whom does his light not rise? 3"Is there any number to His troops? And upon whom does His light not rise?
How then can a human being be righteous before God? How can one born of a woman be pure? 4"How then can a man be just with God? Or how can he be clean who is born of woman?
If even the moon is not bright, and the stars are not pure as far as he is concerned, 5"If even the moon has no brightness And the stars are not pure in His sight,
how much less a mortal man, who is but a maggot--a son of man, who is only a worm!" 6How much less man, that maggot, And the son of man, that worm!"
