By David. Praise the LORD, O my soul! With all that is within me, praise his holy name! 1A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name.
Praise the LORD, O my soul! Do not forget all his kind deeds! 2Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits;
He is the one who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, 3Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases;
who delivers your life from the Pit, who crowns you with his loyal love and compassion, 4Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;
who satisfies your life with good things, so your youth is renewed like an eagle's. 5Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.
The LORD does what is fair, and executes justice for all the oppressed. 6The LORD performs righteous deeds And judgments for all who are oppressed.
The LORD revealed his faithful acts to Moses, his deeds to the Israelites. 7He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the sons of Israel.
The LORD is compassionate and merciful; he is patient and demonstrates great loyal love. 8The LORD is compassionate and gracious, Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.
He does not always accuse, and does not stay angry. 9He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever.
He does not deal with us as our sins deserve; he does not repay us as our misdeeds deserve. 10He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
For as the skies are high above the earth, so his loyal love towers over his faithful followers. 11For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him.
As far as the eastern horizon is from the west, so he removes the guilt of our rebellious actions from us. 12As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on his faithful followers. 13Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.
For he knows what we are made of; he realizes we are made of clay. 14For He Himself knows our frame; He is mindful that we are but dust.
A person's life is like grass. Like a flower in the field it flourishes, 15As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
but when the hot wind blows by, it disappears, and one can no longer even spot the place where it once grew. 16When the wind has passed over it, it is no more, And its place acknowledges it no longer.
But the LORD continually shows loyal love to his faithful followers, and is faithful to their descendants, 17But the lovingkindness of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children's children,
to those who keep his covenant, who are careful to obey his commands. 18To those who keep His covenant And remember His precepts to do them.
The LORD has established his throne in heaven; his kingdom extends over everything. 19The LORD has established His throne in the heavens, And His sovereignty rules over all.
Praise the LORD, you angels of his, you powerful warriors who carry out his decrees and obey his orders! 20Bless the LORD, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform His word, Obeying the voice of His word!
Praise the LORD, all you warriors of his, you servants of his who carry out his desires! 21Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You who serve Him, doing His will.
Praise the LORD, all that he has made, in all the regions of his kingdom! Praise the LORD, O my soul! 22Bless the LORD, all you works of His, In all places of His dominion; Bless the LORD, O my soul!
