Psalm 54
NET Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew International Version
1For the music director, to be accompanied by stringed instruments; a well-written song by David. It was written when the Ziphites came and informed Saul: "David is hiding with us." O God, deliver me by your name! Vindicate me by your power! 1For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A maskil of David. When the Ziphites had gone to Saul and said, "Is not David hiding among us?" Save me, O God, by your name; vindicate me by your might.
2O God, listen to my prayer! Pay attention to what I say! 2Hear my prayer, O God; listen to the words of my mouth.
3For foreigners attack me; ruthless men, who do not respect God, seek my life. (Selah) 3Arrogant foes are attacking me; ruthless people are trying to kill me-- people without regard for God.
4Look, God is my deliverer! The Lord is among those who support me. 4Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.
5May those who wait to ambush me be repaid for their evil! As a demonstration of your faithfulness, destroy them! 5Let evil recoil on those who slander me; in your faithfulness destroy them.
6With a freewill offering I will sacrifice to you! I will give thanks to your name, O LORD, for it is good! 6I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you; I will praise your name, LORD, for it is good.
7Surely he rescues me from all trouble, and I triumph over my enemies. 7You have delivered me from all my troubles, and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.
