NET BibleNew Living Translation
Praise the LORD! I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the godly and the congregation. 1Praise the LORD! I will thank the LORD with all my heart as I meet with his godly people.
The LORD's deeds are great, eagerly awaited by all who desire them. 2How amazing are the deeds of the LORD! All who delight in him should ponder them.
His work is majestic and glorious, and his faithfulness endures forever. 3Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails.
He does amazing things that will be remembered; the LORD is merciful and compassionate. 4He causes us to remember his wonderful works. How gracious and merciful is our LORD!
He gives food to his faithful followers; he always remembers his covenant. 5He gives food to those who fear him; he always remembers his covenant.
He announced that he would do mighty deeds for his people, giving them a land that belonged to other nations. 6He has shown his great power to his people by giving them the lands of other nations.
His acts are characterized by faithfulness and justice; all his precepts are reliable. 7All he does is just and good, and all his commandments are trustworthy.
They are forever firm, and should be faithfully and properly carried out. 8They are forever true, to be obeyed faithfully and with integrity.
He delivered his people; he ordained that his covenant be observed forever. His name is holy and awesome. 9He has paid a full ransom for his people. He has guaranteed his covenant with them forever. What a holy, awe-inspiring name he has!
To obey the LORD is the fundamental principle for wise living; all who carry out his precepts acquire good moral insight. He will receive praise forever. 10Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever!
