Psalm 3
NIV Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New International VersionChristian Standard Bible
1A psalm of David. When he fled from his son Absalom. LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me!1LORD, how my foes increase! There are many who attack me.
2Many are saying of me, "God will not deliver him."2Many say about me, "There is no help for him in God." Selah
3But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.3But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
4I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain.4I cry aloud to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain. Selah
5I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.5I lie down and sleep; I wake again because the LORD sustains me.
6I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.6I will not be afraid of thousands of people who have taken their stand against me on every side.
7Arise, LORD! Deliver me, my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked.7Rise up, LORD! Save me, my God! You strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked.
8From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.8Salvation belongs to the LORD; may your blessing be on your people. Selah
